Access Runtime 2003

Hello,
I've packaged an mde file along with the 2003 runtime environment with all
options. My backend resides on a 2003 server with unc defined links. When I
install the runtime version on an XP client, the front end can execute a
query to the backend through any of the various forms. When I install the
runtime on a win2k client, when a query is executed through an open form task
it cannot read any data and my error handling returns a "no records exist"
message.

Any thoughts out there on this? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a permissions problem. Can you browse to the back end on the 2k
box, and open the back end mdb ok?

Thanks for your reply.
Initially thought so too, but was able to launch backend and access the data
no problem. Our Net Admin has checked it out even to the extent of monitoring
packet transfer and notices no security issues. What's bizarre is that I can
launch the runtime version for both a 2k and xp client and start the
frontend. I can then launch a form, create a new record and and then from the
backend verify that the record is added to the table. When I try to retrieve
the record through a frontend form it returns no records. This is only using
the runtime version on 2k and xp clients with a network stored backend. When
I package the backend and frontend together and install, the application
works fine. Seems to be something in the 03 runtime version.
