Access report export to Excel

I am using Access XP.

I want to export my Access reports results to Excel, so I along with
my coworkers, can do further data analysis.

I clicked on the "analyze it with MS Excel" button, but the
report loses its formatting (ex. bold boxes around cells to
emphasis them).

I can also export to Word with "publish it with MS Word",
but I also lose the special formatting.

I can export it to an Adobe pdf and it keeps the boxes around
cells, but the data cannot be directly manipulated like an
Excel spreadsheet.

Any ideas?

instead of exporting the report, export the Query that the report is
based on. You will then have to do your own Sums/etc in Excel, but
thats how i would do it.

If you open the query in datasheet view, you should be able to do a
File-->Export and change the filetype on the bottom of the dialog
window to Excel 97-2003 (or whatever version Excel you currently use)
