Access Quit Problem

Access97 running on XP Pro
Sometimes when I quit my Access97 program the "Program" quits but I am left
with a minimized empty Access window. That window can be maximized /
minimized but not closed. When clicking on the X top right of window it
merely minimizes.

TaskManager is the only way to get rid of it.

Any ideas appreciated.

I have looked through the information (and other associated links).
I will look through my code, particularly at the recordset issues.
I begs the question but: Can you test for an open recordset?
If so, why not do so (and close it/them) as part of a shutdown routine?

No. These are erroneous vestigal remnants.

You can prevent them by good programming practices, but you cannot find them
after the fact.
