Access Protected Folder

I recently tried to upgrade Windows XP Home to Windows XP
Professional. There was some sort of CD error while it
was installing, and after numerous attempts to get setup
to work (with another XP Pro CD), I gave up and made a
new installation of XP Pro. Now my problem is, I'm using
NTFS and I have my old My Documents directory set as a
private folder and I cannot seem to gain access to it. Is
there any way I can access it?
