We have an Access 2003 process to upload state ids from a txt file into the
necessary file with the student info system (S.I.S.) at each of our school.
It was working ok until around 12/10/07. The process appears to work just
fine, erroring out if someone is in the file we need to update, and running
an adequate amount of time for each school. The file we are attempting to
change a field in is getting a new time/date stamp when we run the process as
well. But, when we log into the application, the field is not updated. The
problem isn't that the field is view only...all records already containing a
state id are still viewable. Also, we removed all of the security in our
student info system and ran the process...same results, so the vendor advised
us it is not the S.I.S. app's security stumping us (we're not logging into it
to do the updates, so that wouldnt' make sense anyway).
I run the process manually an am logged in as an admin with all rights to
the files we are attempting to update.
As someone with minimal Access experience, I have no idea what else to
check.
