Access MDB on network is read only

I have an Access mdb on my machine that I need to share with a colleague on
our network domain. I have setup everything where my colleague's machine
can open the mdb on my machine. However, when she open the mdb on her
machine, the following message occurs:

The database ------ is read-only.

You won't be able to save changes made to data or object definitions in this
database.

On my machine, I have set her up with full permissions for the folder, mdb,
and all objects(tables, forms, reports, etc) in the mdb. And when you right
click and go to properties on the mdb file from her machine, the read-only
box is not checked.

Our current work around for this read only problem is to have her copy the
mdb to her machine, work with it the during the day, and copy it to a floppy
to replace the copy on my machine at the end of the day. She is unable to
copy and paste the file from her machine.

Both machines are running Windows XP and Office XP.

Any help to solve this read-only problem is greatly appreciated.
