Access Mail merge with Word locks up and crashes

I've been trying to do a mail merge between Access and Word. The first time
I tried with the entire list, it crashed. I re-tried by selecting about 20
names at a time. The next few times worked fine. Now, it crashes (locks up)
constantly. Is there a solution?

I have a working example that allows your to merge. In fact, it even manages
the word templates for you.

Try running the sample download (it has sample data..and is ready for word
merge). If it does what you want, then read the notes on the website on how
to use this handy utility.

You can make any form merge the ONE record you are looking at by placing a
button on a form and only ONE command line needs to be put behind that
button and the whole super easy merge works.

Thanks for the information, it is very kind of you to suggest it. I will
check your website. Since I posted, I spent about 3 hours troubleshooting
and found that I had one field blank out of 200 (the "first" name on one
record). This apparently was causing a problem. Since I filled in this
field, I have been able to successfully merge. Thanks again. Carol
