I am logged in as the administrator (XP Pro Service Pack 2).
Start->Administrative Tools->Services.

I receive the dialog box
c:\windows\system32\services.msc

c:\windows\system32\services.msc
Access is Denied

When I log in as myself (member of administrators) all works fine.
What is wrong?
Thank you,
Fred Jacobowitz

Depends on many things, Fred. For starters:

Run Ad-Aware SE, Spybot, CWShredder and HijackThis:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloads31.html

Note: Update the first two programs, once installed, before running.

Free Online Virus Scan
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp

Secondly, again depending - do some reading here:

Kelly,
When I run
%SystemRoot%\system32\services.msc /s

I get the same results. Thank you for responses. I am running ad-aware SE
and Symantec anti-virus.

I can't figure it out. I turned on audit privlege use "Failure" and
captured this entry in the event log.

The administrator and administrators have full control of the objects in
windows\system32.

Curious though - under c:\documents and settings i have the following
folders
Administrator
Administrator.MICRON
ADMINI~1~MIC
Fred
Mara
Leah.MICRON

and the 'active' directory when i log as administrator is
Administrator.MICRON (based on date modified)
By the way, MICRON is the Computer Name.

Perhaps this is causing my problems?
