Access folder denied after windows reinstall

hi everybody

after my windows crash (windows folder is c:\windows) i decided to
reinstall it in another folder (c:\winxp ) and i can't acces to the
linus's user in the old windows ( c:\documents and settings\linus ) but
i can acces to the linus's of the new windows (c:\documents and
settings\linus.WAYONLINE ).On the old linus "my documents" folder there
was important data that i can't loose...other people tell me to boot
from the old system and use the administrator mode but i can't do that
caus i can't boot on this system. can somone help me to acces to this
folder. please help me
