Access Denied

On my Windows XP Home Edition (SP1) PC, I tried
installing a game. In fact, i've installed many games.
While some work, others, particularly Maxis games, do
not. When i try to launch the main application (after
installing it), i get an error message stating that i
need to log on with administrator privleges. Here enlies
my problem. I am an adminsitrato on this system.
Here is a list of games that i have recieved this error
from:
-Microsoft Midtown Madness 2
-Maxis "The Sims"
-Maxis "Sim City 3: Unlimited"
-Maxis "Sim City 4: Delux Addition"

I have already contacted Gateway support, and my phone
support ran out on the 10th (today being the 25th)
