Hi
I have a network with 8 machies (7 with 98se and 1 with XP Pro). For the most part everything works well but I have
one strange probem. We have an older DOS based program which all others use. Works fine when installed and accesse
on the Win98 server. I moved the folder and programs to the new XP machine. When I try to access it from another
win98 machine, as soon as the program loads and tries to open a data file, i get a dos error 5 (access denied). I have added that user to the list of users for the XP machine (with administrative privilges). How do i apply read/write privilege
to this folder/exe/files
I'm sure this can be one but i'm blanking on it.
Any suggestions?

Right click on the exe file, properties, security tab, set permissions as
you like. If the security tab does not show up go into explorer: tools,
folder options, view tab, uncheck: use simple file sharing.
