Access Denied!

I have recently,(twice), had to reinstall my operating
system due to bringing compromised in one form or
another! I now have my system up and running 100%, and
fully secured! As an added means of security, I changed
my computer name, the owner name and logon name.

My query is, I have several folders(legacies)
in 'Documents and Settings' remaining from my past
installs which I cannot delete due to denial of access.
Three of these folders are empty, which are those that
deny access -the other two folders are under my previous
name/then local/then temp and contain numerous folders and
files.

How can I access and delete the empty folders, and is it
safe to remove those which are carry overs from that
previous installs.

Go to your inbuilt Help & Support and type in "take ownership".
