"Access Denied" pst files

I copied the pst files to me CD drive from OL 2000 for use in OL2003 but got
the error message "access denied" when I attempted to remove the "read only"
attribute from the file. Please advise as to what I may be improperly doing.

You *did* download the file back to HD - you are not trying to remove
the read-only attribute on the CD? Please clarify; the way you wrote it
is not clear.

If it is on HD, what file system - NTFS or FAT32?

I was trying to remove the read-only attribute on the CD.
That won't work. You need to copy the file onto your hard drive, then
remove the read only attribute. Once that has been done, you can just
use Outlook to open the .pst file that you just copied onto your hard
drive.
