Looking for an Access DB Template for Birding.
Thanks.

I very much doubt that there is one on the Microsoft webpage - it's
too specialized; you might want to see if anyone has built one and
made it available on a birding newsgroup or webpage.

It shouldn't be too hard to build one. I'm no birder, but I've got a
bit of familiarity; you'ld want a table of Birds (with fields for
common name, Genus, Species, Family, Order, maybe other taxonomic
levels; the primary key might be the Latin binomial or GenBank code,
see http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/Taxonomy/Browser/wwwtax.cgi/);
Observers (ObserverID, LastName, FirstName, contact information);
Sightings (ObserverID, bird ID, date, latitude, longitude, notes)...

Could be a fun project, and I wouldn't be surprised if it has been
done. Googling found

http://www.audubon.org/bird/cbc/hr/

among others.
