Access crashing when attempting to import Excel file

My Access 2002 program crashes (Microsoft Access has
encountered a problem and needs to close) whenever I
attempt to import ANY Excel file. I've tried several
different Excel files and this happens on all of them. I
recently converted my Access 97 database to Access 2002
(Access 2000 version). I was able to import these files
without incident before the conversion.

Any toughts???

You may have a corrupt "acwzlib.mde" file. KB article 208307 (
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=208307 ) is written for Access 2000, but I suspect the
information applies equally well to Access 2002. This article includes the following:

Import/Export Wizard acwzlib.mde

Try using Methods 2, 4 and 5 in KB article 303769 (
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=303769 ) to see if this helps to resolve the situation.
