Access 97 & XP Pro

Thanks for the response on Access 97. Actual message
I'm getting on reinstall of Access for missing features
is "can not recognize image ...wmsset32.dll. " Techie
upgraded my machine form XP home to XP Pro and this
happenned after the upgrade. Just a few days prior on XP
Home I reinstalled Access successfully. Obviously at
this moment I don't want to reformat the HD and reinstall
everything so any hints?

I previously developed a 30 node Access 97 database on
Windows 98SE with great success-Access 97 was truly
reliable. Any hints on doing the same with XP Pro and
Server 2003 using Access 97. Don't want to bother with
SQL now.

I run access97 on windows xp many many times without problems.

So, not sure why you cant' install ms-access.

The only thing to be care full is if an newer version of office is already
installed. You want then to choose a custom directory for the access 97
install (don't use the defaults).

You also need to be logged on a admin, and you should also consider turning
off any virus software during the install.

There is also a common error message of "there is no license" that often
occurs after the install. However, there is a free download fix for that at
the office supprort site.
