Access 97 .mdb

Have an access 97 .mdb. User inadvertently tried to open
in access 2000 now I cannot open database at all! Is
there a repair for this??
 
Access 2000 can convert the application back to 97 version. Tools>>Database
Utilities>>Convert.....or something like that :-)
