Access 2007's Database Window - View by options

OK, I know that I'm supposed to accept A2007 (I'm a developer), but there are
inconsistancies that I can't figure out. In A2003's Database Window, I
preferred to see the objects by what I call traditional Windows list view -
what you'd see in Windows Explorer if you selected the list view - where the
object names snaked. In Microsoft's command reference for Access, it says
there is an option available for list view under View By but this list does
not snake.

Any suggestions?

Jane,

I assume you are talking about the new navigation pane. This has a much
flexability as you might want to wish (not much). Because the layout is
standard you are stuck with the top to bottom layout and no snaking
possible...

Jane, if you find you cannot live with the NavPane, Avenius Gunter has
created a Database Window thingy for A2007:
http://www.avenius.de/index.php?Produkte:DBC2007

Before you do that, you might check out the Search box option which is in
the nav pane, but is not shown by default. Narrowing down the list by
keystroke might allow you to use other views.
