access 2007

I download and installed Office 2007 beta, and I worked on a Access it was
originally 2003, when I open this on 2007 there was no problem and worked
fine and I when I save the access file it saved as 2007 format, then I try to
open it on a 2003 I am not able to open this access file, so I decide to
open this on my 2007 beta and save as 2003 or older version, but when I try
to save as option on 2007 I don’t have a option to save in a older version of
access. Anyone knows about this. Other than access word, excel and all other
office applications I can save from 2007 to older version. I was trying to
get some info from Microsoft Office 2007 website, but no luck. Please let me
know anyone have any info regarding this issue .

you can't "save" an Access database from one version to another (unless
that's changed with A2007), you have to *convert* it to the older version.
try looking on the menu bar, under Tools | Database Utilites | Convert
Database...at least that's where it is in previous versions of Access.

Actually in Access 2007 this is presented as a Save-As option rather than a
convert option.

Given the Access 2007 interface he probably just can't find it.

I dont know whether you understant what my quistioni is, I can see " savs as
" option uner file, what I am not able to do is, when I select the saeve as
option in the file save window, its not giveing me an option to save the file
as and older version of access, Like access 2003 or 2000 something. So for I
have no any problem with the new interface, I am using it neare about more
than 6months now the new office 2007 beta version.

Thank You.

Are the "Save database as another format" options not shown at all or are they
grayed out?

Hi Raghu,

I've never used the beta version, so I'm not sure that it included
functional code to convert a database to an earlier version, although I don't
see any reason that such code would be omitted from the beta. I am currently
using the RTM copy of Office 2007, which is scheduled for general release in
late January.

Try creating a new .mdb database in the 2000 or 2002/2003 file format, in
your copy of Access 2007. Then try importing all objects from your current
2007 formatted file. Does this work?
