Access 2007: Recurring problems with the opening of QueriesDesign

While all queries of all types run and open without any trouble in SQL View
and Datasheet View etc., they often just won't open in Design View. Sometimes
compression and repair of the database will help, but not always. Is this a
known bug in Access 2007 ? Ãs there a fix or how can I avoid having this
problem again? Thanks in advance for all help.

You have a corrupt database file. Repairing it over and over sometimes just
doesn't work. Instead create a new database file and import everything from
the problem database into it. If something won't import, it's too corrupt and
needs to be manually rebuilt. If the new database corrupts, then there's some
other issues to look into. For example does your install of Office have all
the latest service packs installed?

Tony Toews has an excellent web page on database corruption.

Allen Brown also has excellent info on corruption.

I have a white paper in a Word document named Fix Corrupt Access Database
towards the bottom this page:

Thanks for your advice, it's good to know that at least this kind of
corruption is manageable.
