Access 2007 Convert problem

I hope this is the correct Access group.

I have an Access 2003 database that I tried to convert to Access 2007
format.
I've already successfully converted a similar database, but with this
one, it tells me:
You attempted to open a database that is already opened exclusively by
user 'Admin' on machine 'PUTER'. Try again when the database is
available

I am the only person who uses this database, it's on a standalone PC,
not a network, so why has this error come up and how do I resolve it
please?

Thanks

Neil

OK, I solved it!

The database opens with a Switchboard, and even closing the
switchboard (using the 'X' on the window) seems to keep it 'open'
So after some searching, I found that holding the Shift key whilst
opening the DB prevents the Switchboard running and then the DB
converted OK

Neil, I have to tell you THANK YOU! for posting your solution. While I
had been told that a while back, I had absolutely forgotten it! Lo and
behold, this morning I started working on a new project-- an inherited
DB that prevented me from using F11 to access the DB window (my usual
method for going in the back door). Thanks to your post, I knew
exactly what to do!

Regards,
Ruth
