Error when convert to 2007

I am trying to convert an Access 2000 mdb to Access 2007. When I convert I
get the following error message. No one else is access the data.

You attemped to open a database that is already opened exclusively by user
'Admin' on machine 'my computer name'. Try again when the database is
available

Database was opening to a switchboard. If you hold shift while opening the
database the conversion works. (The switchboard was staying open even if you
closed by clicking the colse button or letting microsoft close when the
conversion started)

Great advice. I have been trying on and off for days to figure out why I
could not upgrade my mdb to 2007. I had a switchboard. I thought it had
something to do with the fact that I was using groove to synch up some
folders with my laptop.
