Access 2003

When upgrading Access 2000 to 2003, some of my databases do not work
correctly. It seems as when opening the database in 2003, it looks as if
some of the lookup data has been lost. Also, the autofill doesn't work
either. Any suggestions?

There are lots of guidelines published by Microsoft on converting 2000 to 2003.
Do an internet search and you will find tons of information, far too much to
list here.
Suffice it to say there are lots of considerations in making such conversions.

TomJ,

You say Lookup data has been lost, per chance where you using Lookup fields
in tables or building a seperate table? And when you 'lost' is it still
there but not seen or just deleted from the table. When you say 'autofill'
are you refering to the autofill in tables when entering numbers or
something else?

Please realize, we cannot see what does not work so get specific..

Im using lookup fields in tables.
The data is therebut cannot see it. I am refering to autofill when entering
numbers.

Thisdoes work in Access 2000, but not 2003

TomJ,

Look-up field in tables = Bad thing, see
http://www.mvps.org/access/lookupfields.htm I can't explain why yours
stopped working except sometimes, depending on how your tables are in
queries they cannot find each other.

As for the autofill, not sure why yours isn't working (wish I could turn off
this annoying feature) but more importantly why are you dependent on it?
You're not using tables for data entry are you? If not using tables, how
does this assist you in data entry?
