ACCESS 2003

If a DB is set up using ACCESS 2003 will it function properly in the 2000
version?

Open up the database in question. Does the top of the database window say
something like "Access 2000 file format" ? Is so, it will.

In my experience there's usually very few problems with creating a DB in
2003, and making it backward compatible. However, if you're developing an
application for an Access 2000 setup it would be foolish not to test before
release. Alternatively, if you have access to a PC runnning Access 2000 why
not just develop on that machine?

inside of Access: the one that lets you select tables, queries, forms, etc.?

If you really can't find the information there, go to Tools | Database
Utilities | Convert. Which objects are enabled for you?
