Access 2003 Security

R

Randy

We distribute an Access front end to a SQL Server dB. Most of our customers
are on Access 2000 or Xp. One of our customers just recently upgraded to
2003 and everytime they open the program, they get security warnings about
our program containing Macros, VBA code or PassThru Queries (it contains all
3). Show of obtaining a Digital Certificate, can we configure Access 2003
so it will stop doing this?

TIA,

Randy

Please provide feedback to Microsoft about what you thing of this new
"feature". That's the only way we can get this kind of nonsense addressed.

Yes. Go to Tools/Macro/Security and set the security level to low. If my
organization would accept this solution, I wouldn't be here looking for
answers to my problems!!!

in the mean time you can change security level to low or buy a certificate
and yes, Allen, why is the only ms product where you *absolutely need* code
considered the bad guy!
