Under Access 2003, how does one open an existing mdb in design mode?

Thanks,
Tom

There is no "design mode". Opening a file is opening a file, period.

If you mean you want to open it without the startup options firing then hold
down shift while you open it.

Hi Rick,

That is what I mean. But I've tried the shift-key thing and it doesn't work.
The start-up form still fires and launches my application. I've tried using
the shift-key both on the mdb from Windows, and also after launching
Access first. No go either way. Any ideas??

Regards,
Tom

Thanks, but I found my own answer. The shift-key must be held down
through all the "unsafe expressions not blocked" dialog windows! Then
the mdb will come up in "design mode".

Thanks,
Tom

Ahhh yes, the "three strikes and you're still not in" problem.
Sigh...
