Access 2003 is slow when I open a database with a desktop shortcu.

I recently installed Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Prof and since then, when I open an
Access database using the shortcut on my desktop, it reacts very slowly when
using the database. If I open Access first and then open the database,
either by the shortcut or by browsing to it, it works just fine. Not sure
why now Access must be open first and then the database for it to work
properly. I have installed Service Pack 1 and did a repair on the Office
suite but it still happens.

Adobe Acrobat opens tons of files and plug-ins in order to work. Version 7.0
uses preloaded files in order to improve performance. You might consider
something like Adobe Reader Speed UP to speed up both programs.
