It ran fine under MS Access 2003, but now I’m using MS Access 2007 and I’m
having a bit of a problem getting it to initially load. When I launch Access
and select the acronym database (db1.mdb), I’m getting the following error
message:

“Your Microsoft Office Access database or project contains a missing or
broken reference to the file ‘dao2535.tlb’ version 3.5. * To ensure that
your database or project works properly, you must fix this reference.â€

At the bottom of that error message window, there is a “Show Help†button,
and an “OK†button. “Show Help†provides me little help because I am not an
Access programmer. When I click on the “OK†button, I get the same error
message. After I click “OK†a total of 8 times (every time I clicked on the
OK button, I would get the same error message), the message does not appear
anymore and the acronym database is loaded and presented for use. The
work-around always works, but its becoming really bothersome.

How do I go about correcting the reference to “dao2535.tbl version 3.5†and
where is the fix made?

Whittle to Whitt here!

Open the database. Then press the Ctrl + g keys at the same time. That
should open the VBA window. Next go to Tools, References. That should show
you the reference problem. The file in question may not be available any
longer. If so uncheck it and look for a newer version. I'm using Microsoft
DAO 3.6 Object Library. It's found at:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\microsoft shared\DAO\dao360.dll
