Access Access 2003 Check boxes

I have a form I am working with and when I put a bound check box on the form, the boxes wont check. I have them bound to a field in the table and the values are set. When you click the box it will add the value to the appropriate field in the table but when looking at the form you cant see what is checked. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. Thank you.
