access 2002 bug

copy & paste of numbers from access table/query to excel
sheet works fine for Access versions 97 and 2000 but not
for 2002. When this is done in 2002, the numbers need to
be converted using the =value() function and will not
respond to number formating or be recognised as numbers
in formulae.
