Accepting Cookies a problem

Bill

I am running XP Pro SP2 - all the latest updates
set IE 6 to accept all cookies - closed and reopened browser

from the Symantec Norton Go Back 4.0 site, I get this message when trying to
buy the upgrade:

Message 99998 - To protect ourselves against fraud, we need to set a cookie
on your computer. In order to continue your purchase online, please reset
your browser to allow cookies. You can make your purchase and then set
cookies off again in your browser. If you already allow cookies, there may
be a problem that can be corrected by deleting the cookie file. 20002SC22

I have searched for, and not found the 2002SC22 file - so I cannot delete it

Any ideas on what I do now? - aside from going to Staples to buy Go Back 4.0
:)

TIA

Bill

Have you tried deleting the cookies by going to IE, Tools =>Internet Options
=> General Tab and then Delete Cookies?

"20002SC22" is not a file but simply a reference number on the page.

Suggest disabling any firewall until cookies are working correctly. Make
certain your time, date, and time *zone* settings are all correct.

What about other Cookies from Symantec?
The message appears to be static (not customized for you)
so I wouldn't necessarily interpret that last identifier as being
a Cookie name. (E.g. perhaps it is just a signature of some
kind for that message.)
