accepted meeting now in deleted folder

After accepting a meeting invitation it moved to my deleted items folder and
did not post to my calendar. The person that sent the invitation got the
response that I accepted the invitation. Is there some setting I can check
to see how this happened?

It should automatically save the meeting in your calendar when you accept,
but try:
Options>Email Options>Advanced Email Options - untick the 'Delete meeting
request from inbox when responding.

ARe you checking your default calendar? It will move to the default
calendar, not any user defined one.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
