Accelerate my Internet Connection...

I ordered the live feed of Major League Baseball games... the only problem is
it plays a bit choppy because my connection is kind of weak.
Any ideas about what settings I can apply or suggestions to generally boost
my internet connection?
My ISP is Bellsouth.net. Help please? Games are a wastin'

Setup a firewall to deny any incoming and outgoing connections to the
internet (except for the browser). Some programs like to connect to the
internet to check for updates and such. Run adware and spyware scans, too.
Another thing you can try is to use a lower quality setting for the video
feed.
