Hi,
I have recently aquired a new battery for my Sony Vaio as the old was
reaching the end of it's lifespan, and have installed windows XP. The battery
is being charged - but only to 85%(1.42 hours) and the battery icon remains
on the task bar despite connection to the mains. So, I end up with reduced
processor speed, as the computer thinks it's on battery power only. How can I
get it to register that it is on mains power and thereby get maximum CPU
speed, etc?? Or is there a way to get max CPU power despite the battery
icon?? Do I have to charge the battery to 100% before it registers as 'on
mains power' and if so, how??
Many thanks for any help.
