Shall I get the ulimate edition does anyone know what you get in the extras
in it. Also can the premium one do restore and clean installs and does the
clean install work for upgrades or full version ones. I have windows xp and
still on the beta of vista because doesnt expire till may 31 and trying to
figure what what edition to get in april the ulimate or premium one upgrade
or full version.

My opinion:
Home users don't really need anything more than Home Premium.
(You can get Home Premium Upgrade for as little as $68 retail if you
are a student or teacher.)
Full retail prevents future reinstall problems, but costs significantly
more.
Should you really be itching for BitLocker, need Remote Desktop
functionality, Fax and Scan capability, or perform routine Backups of your
data and drives (all of which are available third party) you could always
use Windows Anytime Upgrade at a cheaper cost than buying the upgrade disc
($159) to get to Ultimate.

Why do you want to beta test Vista with your Visa card? Let the
other early adopters do it for you. And, what is it about your
current O/S that you don't like and/or what is it about Vista that
you do like, other than just wanting to follow the herd into
upgrade frenzies.

You get some stupid game of poker that doesn't work with NVidia 8800, you
get some software to make your data disappear for good, and you get blue
screen crashes for the desktop background (NVidia again).

You also get all tools and features from home and business.

You should not get any edition until at least SP1 is provided - there are
way too many issues now.
