About to get my first AMD based system

Ok Im pretty much sold on going this route with my new rig. This being
my first AMD rig I had a coupla questions. Ok for the CPU I was looking
at gettin a 3500+ Vinice core. But then the other night on Newegg I
think ... I eyed a 3700+ SD core for about $60 more. Is there any kinda
noticable difference in performace between the two chips? and where do
you go to get info on each of the individual cores and how they are
different. BTW how are these system specs?
ASUS A8N SLi Delux
Athlon 3500+ or 3700+
1 GB OCZ PC3200 mem
GeForce 6800 GT (For now ... hey least I can move up to the GTX if I
wanted)
and that all that IM 100% on for now. Thanks

The "Venice" 3500+ and "San Diego" 3700+ have same clock frequency, but the
3700+ has 1 MB of L2 cache (rather than 512 kB on the 3500+). They are
probably also different steppings.

I don't know whether the larger L2 cache would be worth an additional $60 to
you. It would certainly be faster for tasks where the data fit in the L2
cache, rather than having to swap data in from the system's RAM.

Address scrambled. Replace nkbob with bobkn.
