I did everything you told me. Spyware, adaware, dada dee.
Updates all around. Still changes homepage to about:blank.
I believe the problem to be 2 embedded websites in
history that won't leave. They continue to show in
homepage history drop down. Yes, I've tried all the
deletion techniques I know. Donation to charity of one's
choice to whoever fixes it. Talk to me.

I've been having the same problem as NG. My theory is the
hijackers moniker is gone, from running all the
spyware...etc., But the program that re-install the hijack
is now defaulted to "about:blank". Does this sound
possible? donations forthcoming

The about blank hijack can be easy to remove or it can very difficult to
remove.

If you've run CWShredder, Ad-aware and Spybot without success then try
running CWShredder from safe mode
Starting your computer in Safe mode- Symantec:

If unsuccessful with that, go to The Parasite Fight - Quick Fix Protocol:

Work through the preliminary steps and post a HijackThis log to the forum
