Abnormal shutdown question

I just installed W2K on a new computer (uses ACPI). I have SP4 and all the
critical updates installed. When I turn off my computer, Windows closes in
a few seconds. The computer keeps running for about one minute and then
shuts off (the monitor is black during this period but is receiving a signal
from the computer). Is this normal or is there a CMOS issue? Thanks, Jim

The shutdown takes more than a few seconds.
The screen should not go black during this process.

See if tip 2983 in the 'Tips & Tricks' at http://www.jsiinc.com helps you find
the reason.
