I have had a problem with cisvc.exe taking over the machine for horus on end.
I have cleaned the registry using 4 different registry cleaners and the
problem still exists. I have then turned off every start up option i have
and the problem persists. Finally i disabled the indexing service.

Before this I would have an occasional failure of a component where the
event log showed an abnormal termination of some component or another
such
as OSE, Iexplore, a couple of external apps etc.

I am thinking i may have a memory problem - where can I find an good set of
system disagnostics software OR how can I use ms products to trap the cause
of these errors.

I think you may have a malware/spyware or possibly a virus problem.
