able to access but no ping

i have two pc on my network, i can see other pc's shared files and folders. i
only wonder why there is no ping reply when i use the "ping -t" command. i
tried to ping my own IP address and yes there is a reply, but trying to ping
the other pc, the message was "request timed out".

If you can see other computers, but get "request timed out" when pinging, you
could have several problems. Start by checking for hardware problems.

Next, provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" for both computers,
following instructions here:

Check under your firewall advanced settings under ICMP - check that "allow
incoming echo request" is checked. Easy procedure - Help and Support> type
ICMP as search topic>enable ICMP.
