ABIT KG7-RAID (First Post)

Hi,

I've been running a PC with a ABIT KG7-RAID motherboard with a 1Gig Duron
and 256Mb DDR (pc2100) for the last 18 months.

Today, I installed a 1.3 Athlon from a machine that I obliterated last night
due to a non succesful BIOS upgrade and the KG7-RAID mobo will not go in to
post and fails on startup with beep error 1 long and 2 short.

I have RTFM and was expecting to see a issue with jumpers on the motherboard
that needed swapping but I have not been able to resolve the problem.

I know the motherboard supports the processor so I didn't expect to bump in
to any problems.

Please help.

I pulled it and I reseated it and it fixed it.

I've also been in to BIOS and sorted the CPU out.

Problem fixed.

Great to hear! That was the first problem I had when I put my Kg7 together.
That agp slot and sometimes the memory slots are tighter than my ex-wife's
purse when they're new....

Thanks for the comeback. It is always good to know that what we spew around
here actually works some times....
