Aadministration of hostnames in "Computers" OU

When I change the name on some clients they dont show up
as the new hostname in AD's computer container. Some
clients do some clients don't..
any thoughts?

Thank you for your post?

What type of clients are these, Windows XP/2000/NT/9x?
Have you check all the Domain Controllers with in your domain to insure
that the change was not made?

If the client is Windows 2000/XP, check the Netsetup.log within the
<Winroot>\Debug Folder. This log file should show you what domain
controller the name change was made and if it was successful.
