I have this motherboard and would like to know if it supports the Barton
Processor
Can anyone tell me this?

Thanks

Yes it does - if you have the fsb333 sticker on the southbridge chip. You
cannot use the 200MHz fsb Barton.
You will need bios version 1012.
However I suggest flashing to the latest bios BEFORE changing the processor
since earlier bioses don't recognise the Barton as such and refuse to flash
the bios with the Barton in place.

That being said, you get more "bang per buck" from a standard XP..

It sure does.

Cheers. One last thing!

Bios rev 1012. What speed xp does this now support? I want to get an xp3000

Thanks

It supports the XP3000+ but only the 333 MHz fsb model, not the 400.

Once again you must make sure that the FSB333 sticker is on the southbridge
chip

Thanks, It does have the sticker.

Regards
