Asus A7N8X Deluxe & Processors

I currently have an A7N8X Deluxe MB with an AthlonXP 2600 processor. I'd
like to upgrade to an AthlonXP 3200 Barton core with the same MB. Obviously
it's a faster processor but I could also jump my FSB from 333mhz to 400mhz
with this upgrade.

Can anyone advise me if I'll see a noticeable increase in speed with this
upgrade?

Thanks
Phee

T-Bred 2600+ 256K L2 2083MHz (166x12.5)
Barton 3200+ 512K L2 2200MHz (200x11.0)

I'd only upgrade to a Barton 3200+ if you have PC3200 ram or can run
your ram @ the FSB speed, running CPU and ram out of sync isn't very
good for performance or stability.

If you have PC3200 (and don't mind overclocking a little) I'd just raise
the bus speed while keeping the ram in sync of FSB,(100% in bios) and
set CPU vcore a step or two over default if needed for stability. Most
T-bred/Barton cores do 2300-2400MHz no problem with just a little vcore
boost.

Noticeable increase in speed? Google for some benchmarks? ;)

If you cant get a 25-50% improvement its a waste of money.
I run a Barton 2500 overclocked to 3200 ..........your 2600 should be
overclockable and as such run very near 3200 speeds so why buy??
