A7V600-Raid driver for XP-Can't use computer till this is fixed!!!

Cannot install SATA/Raid support drivers during XP
installation.

Error reads:

File \winxp\viaraid.sys caused an unexpected error (18) at
line 2108 in d:\xpsp1\base\boot\setup\oemdisk.c.

using seagate SATA harddrive AMD Athlon xp 2400+ with 512
pc2700 RAM ASUS V9520 Magic/t GeForce FX 5200 128MB vidio
card

HELP!!!! I have tried all versions of the driver that I
can find.

This error indicates that the driver is attempting to locate a critical
portion of itself which is not where it expects it. For instance, lets say
that I have a file called "myfile.sys" and my installation drivers expect
to find this file on an installation path on my driver disk of
\driver\myfile and either the path \driver\myfile does not exist or the
needed component "myfile.sys" does not exist in \driver\myfile then it will
fail.

This is a problem in the driver and its installation routines. You need to
discuss this with the hardware manufacturer to determine what it is looking
for and why it is not there.
