A7V333 trying to add an IDE controller card

Hi, all help will be gratefully appreciated.

I have an early (I think) A7V333, no RAID, USB 1/2
Chipset : VT8366/A,VT8367 Apollo KT266/A,KT333 CPU to PCI Bridge
ASUS A7V333 ACPI BIOS Revision 1018 Beta 001
Physical Memory : 1024 Mb DDR-SDRAM in 2x512 sticks
Model : AMD Athlon(TM) XP 2100+
Codename : Palomino
GeForce4 Ti 4600
SB Audigy - PCI slot4
the additional usb card - PCI slot 5
2x 80HD's each partitioned.
Windows XP Pro patched right up to date.

I'm running low on disk apace so since I cut corners and didn't buy
the raid version of the board I'm trying to install a Silicon Image
SiI 0680A Ultra ATA/133 host controller (IDE bios) and running into
problems. At the moment it's on PCI slot 2 and although it's
recognised at post and as a new mass storage device by the os, the
driver refuses to install. It runs ok but then just tells me there
"was a problem installing this device. An error occurred during the
installation of the device. The data is invalid."

I've disabled Norton Antivirus, tried safe made but it's all to the
same effect.

I seem to recall having problems installing the Audigy when I built
the machine about a year ago and think it related to PCI and IRQ's but
I can't remember exactly what it was.

Thank's for any help you may be able to give.

Rob

Page 17 users manual!
I wouldn't have used an extra usb card myself, have firewire turned
off and a lot of other crap on my deluxe model, never could find all
those accessories anyway?
Had it for over 1 1/2 years now(refurb 80$) raid, been a damn good mobo!
It's on it's third cpu(2400) and running cas2 333 hyperx now!
