A7N8X-X AGP Sideband

Hi,

I have an A7N8X-X (+XP 2600 Barton) with a GeForce 5200 video card
(8x, 128MB, not overclocked). Various diagnostics programs shows the
AGP Side Band Addressing "Supported", *but* "Disabled".

How do I enable de AGP Side Band Addressing? I've already looked in
the BIOS setup but I didn't find any option related to this. Or this
mobo doesn't support Side Band Addressing?

Thanks,
Dimitri

You can't, its a feature of the card.

You can, but the graphics driver has to enable it on the card. While this
is possible it may be that the driver is not set to do this by default or
some card vendors have disabled it. As to whether or not there is a
registry key that can be set to enable it I have no idea. I can tell you
for sure that the Linux NVIDIA graphics driver will enable SBA if it is
configured to.

So I guess it's time to change my OS!!! ;-)
