A7N8X Deluxe low sound volume output

I have an A7N8X Deluxe that plays my ATI tv card fine but anything else is
at such a low volume level that you can barely hear it when turned all the
way up. I have the latest NVidia drivers as of 6/6/04. Any ideas?
 
My ATI tv card is MUCH louder and sounds fine. It's connected to the CD in
on the MB.

wav mp3 etc played with the ATI player or WMA
