A7N8X Deluxe jumbled characters

When the MB boots up and during the bios setup screen there are
jumbled characters all over the screen. I can sometimes make out the
words in the bios setup but for the most part there are just random
jumbled characters on the screen. However, the computer loads winxp
and seems to run fine. Has anyone else had this problem and knows what
might fix it?

Seems to be a VGA problem outside the GDI, graphic interface of windows.
Matrox got problems under DOS, but worked perfectly in windows.
