A4 printing reverts back to letter.

HI guys,
I am having this problem which is intermittent. I have
upgraded to win2k from win98. I have setup all print
options to always print A4. Occasionally the printer asks
for letter. It is frustrating that when you view the print
options again it has reverted back to letter.
Is there a way to correct this problem so that the setting
stays A4

This is a problem to do with the regional settings, and
the way it was set up first day, I can't remeber exactly,
but your search should start there.
